Okay, hopefully by now most of us are getting comfortable with our camera and lenses. But how about that Flash unit on the bottom of your Bag? Whether it's a popup flash or a sophisticated TTL speed light, here's your chance to get to know it
a bit better.
We're running a Speed Light, aka Flash unit, Workshop on June 20, 2018 at the Surfside Library from 1:00 to 4:00.
We plan to go over the Flash basics, when, why and how to use your Flash, we'll discuss
TTL, then get creative with Flash units, adjusting the flash output to match the scene, bouncing flash off walls and ceilings, using multiple flash units, and if you’re interested some buying tips if you're in the market.
Interested? Please RSVP and I'll add you to the list.
Gear Needed for the workshop:
Your camera, and flash unit(s) with the manual(s), tripod, Reflector, wide to semi-wide lens, say 16 to 24 mm, a portrait lens or focal length, say 50 to 70 mm, many of us have a zoom lens to cover this range. Extra batteries for your camera
and flash unit(s) and spare SD cards, and the usually snacks, water as needed, etc.
As Usual we will have “What’s your Focus”, so if you have a unique question or situation, let us know ahead to time and we'll try to work this out
We recommend that if you're new to your flash unit, google it (make and Model) and watch a few YouTube video's, and/or read the flash instruction before manual June 20th. Then the workshop will make more sense.
