Jan/Feb 2021 Photo Contest Judge
Bio: Margaret Boike, APSA MPSA
Margaret was introduced to photography at an early age by her father, who was an amateur photographer and took her on outings with other members of the camera club to which he belonged. She learned how to develop film and prints in her father’s darkroom, but was more interested in the chemical process than in the resulting photos! During her working years she was able to purchase Nikon cameras from her employer at a great discount and took many photos of her children, as well as other kinds of candid snapshots.
In her retirement years, Margaret finally had the time to seriously study photography. She joined the Photographic Society of America (PSA) in 2010 and took advantage of the many benefits offered to PSA members. She enjoys competing in PSA recognized international exhibitions and has well over 2,000 acceptances. In 2018 she was recognized as PSA “Volunteer of the Year” for her extensive volunteer work in Exhibition Services.
