Update: July 26
Earlier this month we held a flower photography workshop as the first step in transparent flower photography, the session was fun and produced some great high Key images. Since then I’ve
received requests from a a few Members who were unable to attend the first session, to re-run the photo session.
So, we’ve booked the Waccamaw Library on August 5th from 9:00 AM to Noon, so if you missed the first session,
or you attended the first session and want to try it again, of if you’re simply curious and want to give it a try, please RSVP back to Ed (firstname.lastname@example.org)
and I’ll add you to the list.
The equipment needed is sturdy tripod, a digital camera and a 50 mm (effective) prime lens, or simply tape your zoom lens at 50 mm to avoid lens creep.
We’ll have the second part of this workshop on August 13th at the Surfside Library from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, this session will demonstrate the Post Processing for flower transparency.
Good Evening, we’ve scheduled a Study workshop to learn Flower Photography with Transparency. This is a Study of Harold Davis’ techniques. This will be done in 2 sessions, first on Thursday July 15th from 2:00 to 5:00
PM at the Surfside Library. This session will study the set-up and photography required to produce the flower transparencies. The second session is scheduled for August 13th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Surfside Library. This. Session will cover the Post
Processing needed for this technique.
A flyer is attached with further details and two YouTube videos by Harold Davis demonstrating the set up and process, so please read the details and watch enough of the videos to see the amazing
images it produces. And, if you’re interested there’s a link to RSVP back to me.
